Some people are good at handling pressure, whereas others find it a HERCULAN TASK to give their 100% when they have to work under pressure. I also find it difficult to perform my best when I have to work on a project under pressure. However, there was a time when I worked under pressure.
I vividly remember it happened when I was studying in the 12th class. The project was about designing and developing a website for a local NGO, and I was the leader of the group. We had to create the website FROM SCRATCH, using HTML, and JavaScript. We also had to write the content and upload the images and videos. We faced a lot of pressure as it was a part of our final assessment and grade. The project was assigned by a new teacher, who was very strict and demanding. He gave us only two weeks to complete the project, and he said he would not accept any late submissions or extensions. That was another reason for the pressure. We had to BURN THE MIDNIGHT OIL and PULL AN ALL NIGHTER to finish the project on time.
We divided the work among ourselves, and we communicated regularly through email and WhatsApp. We also used some online tools and resources. We tried to make the website as simple and user- friendly as possible by following the guidelines and requirements of the teacher and the NGO. I felt very stressed out about finishing the project before the deadline. It was DOWN TO THE WIRE, but we managed to finish the project before the deadline.
We went to the EXTRA MILE and added some extra features to the project. I also felt motivated and OVER THE MOON to finish the project quickly. I was proud of my skills and I trusted my group members and their abilities. I also felt a sense of responsibility and leadership since I wanted to guide and support my group members and deliver a good project. That was the time when I had to finish something under pressure.
