Well, it is common to see a lot of wastage alongside the roads because people often throw wrappers, plastic bottles or cans, polythene and so on. Here I would like to talk about a time when I picked up something which was thrown by someone else. Actually what happened, last Sunday I went to a park which is just stone’s throw away from my home. All of a sudden, I noticed that a boy who was playing with his friends threw a banana peels.
This thing blew my top. I could not tolerate such kind of actions from the people because these things spoil the beauty of nature. Immediately I made up my mind to pick it up but I also decided to teach the lesson to boy. First of all, I picked it up and threw it in the bin. Then, I reached the boy and tried to make him realise his mistake. But he ignored me and did not listen to me.
After that, I took that boy to his parents. Shockingly, their parents also did not take it seriously. They said that it was not a big deal, if our boy did so. It made me furious. Without thinking much, I went to authority of the park. They listened to my complaint and then I took them at the place of incident. His parents were also there. The parents were arguing with the authority. I must tell you that in the end, the authority decided to get a fine of 1000 rupees.
After listening to this penalty, the boy and his parents decided to apologize. However, authority turned a deaf ear and forced them to pay the fine due to the breaking of rules and regulations. They paid a fine and said, ‘this thing will not happen again, please sorry’. Authority of the park appreciated me on this good deed. In the end, I felt over the moon because I succeeded in realising the duty to someone towards environment.

Well, in this day and age, the culture of throwaway is increasing day by day. Although I have thrown a number of useless things throughout my life, like old clothes, damaged objects, and many more. But here I would like to talk about an occasion when I picked up an object that was thrown by someone.
I vividly remember it happened last year when I went to my mother’s place in order to spend my summer vacation. One day, my cousin and I were playing hide-and-seek. During the play, my cousin broke down the flower pot by mistake while running. It was such a beautiful piece of art. My grandmother scolded my cousin and threw the piece of flower pot in the trash.
I picked it up from there and came to my room. Actually, I am good at fixing things, so in order to fix it, I searched on the internet about fixing it. After watching 10-15 videos on YouTube, I found the content useful. Then I followed all the steps and fixed it in one hour. After that, I painted it using different colors, and after finishing, it looked so amazing.
Then I gifted it to my grandmother, and she felt over the moon and placed it again in the same place where it was. When it comes to my feelings, I felt It really amazing as I made prudent use of waste and contributed to the environment. All in all, this was the time when I picked up something that was thrown by my grandmother.
