There are numerous things in my country which are beautiful and unique. However, here I would like to talk about the most significant holy place of Sikhs in which I am intersted. It is Shri Harmandir Sahib which is also called as ‘The Golden Temple’. It is situated in ‘Amritsar’ a famous city of Punjab. I know about it because I have visited it a number of times in my life. I have also read about it on the Internet as well as in books.
It is bulit in the middle of a holy pond which increases its beauty. It is plated with 24 carat pure gold due to which it is called as The Golden Temple. People firstly come here and take a holy dip in a holy pond then enter inside it to pay obeisance to the God. There is also a community kitchen (Langar) near to it where vegetarian food is served at free of cost every day.
It is estimated that about 1,50,000 people eat in this community kitchen on daily basis. The Harmandir Sahib has four gates which signifies that individuals of any caste come here without any discrimination. The most interesting fact is that it has been attacked many times but no one could demolish it.
I personally have a great faith in this place and I often go there with my parents. I am interested in this place because it welcomes everyone either the person is Sikh or of any other religion or caste. I want to know more about it because still there are several things which I don’t know properly.

Well, being a bibliophile, I am always curious to know about interesting facts in order to enhance my knowledge. But here, I would like to mention one particular part of my nation in which I have a keen interest. It is none other than a historical monument, Rani Lakshmi Bai Fort which is located in Uttar Pradesh.
Actually, this fort revolves around Rani Lakshmi Bai, who is also known as Jhansi ki Rani. In school, I read a variety of things about her. I recall that she was the first female fighter to fight against the British. If I talk about the reasons why I am interested in it, there are mainly two reasons. The prominent one is that in the upcoming month there is my grandparents’ 75th wedding anniversary and they both are huge fans of her.
So we all have decided to make their day special by staging a play based on her life. That’s why I want to know everything, from soup to nuts, about her birth, lifestyle, sacrifices, and battles. Second, I am responsible for teaching my younger sister, who has participated in the school’s annual function, where she is portraying Rani Lakshmi Bai.
Yes, For sure, I want to know about her more as she acts as an inspiration for me and I think the library would be the best place for me because I can easily comprehend the old books with the assistance of pictures. Overall, this is the part of my country where I am interested.
