Well, learning plays an important role in everyone’s life in order to widen their horizon. Although I have learned a number of skills throughout my life, like drawing, dancing, language, and many more. But here I would like to talk about a skill that I learned when I was a kid. This skill was none other than computer typing.

I vividly remember that i learnt it when I used to study in the 5th grade and had summer vacations. At that time, my uncle taught me this skill who used to live a stone’s throw away from my place. He was my father’s bosom friend and a computer teacher at a school. When it comes to how he taught me, he taught me this skill step by step.

Firstly, he made me familiar with the components of a computer and keyboard buttons. After that, he explained the correct position of the hands to type the words. Then, he gave me some lines to practice without looking at the keyboard. To be honest, at first, I used to make several mistakes, but with continuous practice, I learned this well. As per my perception, this skill is really significant due to several reasons.

The prominent one is that, in this day and age, computers are used everywhere, so it increases job opportunities and helps people work fast. The second is that it teaches the importance of hand-eye coordination and balancing. All in all, this was the skill that I mastered in my childhood.

I was fortunate enough to be guided by an experienced vocal coach named Rahul at a local institute named simran music institute.

He employed a comprehensive approach to teaching, incorporating vocal exercises, scales, and personalized song selections. He emphasized the importance of proper breathing techniques, pitch control, and expression in conveying emotions through singing.
