Q.1. Is fishing popular in your country? IELTS SPEAKING TOPIC FISHING
Answer – Fishing is mainly Popular in the coastal areas of my country like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. It is a source of living for majority of people in those areas.
Q2. Why do people go fishing?
Answer – Fishing is opted by the people for different purposes. As I mentioned earlier, for some, it is a source of earning. Apart from this, non-vegetarian people derive pleasure from their own catch and cook or barbecue it.
Q.3. Do you like eating fish?
Answer 1 – Though I am quite aware of the health benefits of consuming the fish yet being a strict vegetarian, I abstain from all the non-vegetarian food items. So, I don’t ever eat fish.
Answer 2 – Of course, yes. Fish is my most favourite among the non-vegetarian food. I am very well aware of the health benefits it brings. So, I love eating fish.
Q.4. Where can you see fish?
Answer – Well there are numerous places where fish can be seen. Mostly these are found in the holy ponds of Sikh temples. In addition to this, the small ponds, rivers and aquariums also provide the opportunity of seeing the fish.
Q.5. Is fishing a common activity in your area
Answer – Well, Fishing is not so common in my area. As majority of the people are strict vegetarians. They do not consume fish due to their religious beliefs which makes fishing a least popular activity in my hometown.
Q6. Have you ever been to a place where there are a lot of fish around you?
Answer – Oh, it’s really a pleasure to recall. Two years back, we went on a trip to Jammu where we explored Bagh-e-Bahu. It is a magnificent garden with huge aquariums presenting the unrestricted views of different kinds of fish.
Q7. Have you seen any movies with lots of fish?
Answer – Well, as far as I know, there is an animated movie, finding Nemo, which is centred on a fish called Nemo. I haven’t watched it yet, But I plan to watch it in near future.
