Describe a time when you had a disagreement with someone ielts speaking cue card –
As every individual is entitled to his/her decision, It’s very hard to come on the same page with someone. We often disagree with others, whether it’s about political ideologies or where to go for dinner, movie to watch, and more. I’m a kind of person who hardly ever gets involved in disagreements.
( when you had disagreement )
However, this is always not the case and I can recall some events when I had to strongly disagree with my dear and near one’s. And, Here I am going to talk about a time I disagreed with my bosom friend harry. I still remember, i wasn’t convinced at all with my father. My father has good analytical skills and make decisions very quickly. He hardly ever discuss matters with others. One day my father decided to sell our heritage house and buy a new one. And my mother also agreed with him.
Describe a Person You Know who is From a Different Culture
After passing the 12th standard, my friend Harry decided to go to abroad for his further studies and I was elated to know this until i found out that the country he wants to go is England and this lead to our disagreement. I tried to convince him that England isn’t the best option for him because it’s too expensive to live there and not at all easy to pay rent. Besides this, as this country is not very easy on the pocket, it’s near impossible to pay University fee by doing part time jobs. Before I could say more, he in his counter attack said universities in England are world recognizable and some of the top universities are available here.
He was about to add another point when I interrupted him and said know that your aim is not only just to study there but also to settle their, so considering this scenario rather than planning to go to England, moving to Canada would be much better option for him because it’s much easier to get permanent residency there than to England. I thought this reason would work but he was too adamant to change his opinion. To gave him the reality check, I convinced him to talk to my cousin sunny who live in Birmingham England.
Finally, they talked over the phone. He said there is no doubt that educational facilities are supreme here but it’s not easy to settle here, due to this he is also looking to move to Canada in a year or so. And finally after talking to sunny he agreed to go to Canada and the disagreement got resolved. Now, he is doing great n Canada . So this was the time when i had disagreement with my friend.
